Non-Profit Organization § 501 (c) (3)

The "Asociación Boricua de Dallas, Inc." was founded in 1981 and it was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in the State of Texas in 1985.  It's mission is to promote, foster and celebrate the Puerto Rican culture and heritage.  With that mission in mind, the association works toward becoming the leading organization within the Puerto Rican community in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

As an independent entity, "Asociación Boricua de Dallas, Inc." is structured in five entities, each one having different responsibilities.

These are:

• Board of Directors – Administration and general direction of the organization.

• "Boricua Passion" Group – Community and new members relations.

• "Boricua Heritage" Group – Coordinate and produce cultural activities. Distribution of cultural information regarding Puerto Rico.

• "Boricua Essence" Group – Schedule and coordinate the organization’s social functions and special events.

• Scholarship Fund Committee - The Scholarship Fund Committee of the "Asociación Boricua de Dallas, Inc.", is an organization actively involved in the Hispanic community to promote hope, inspiration and financial incentives to deserving students who do not have the financial means to help further their education.
