| Biography | I am a military brat, which means I've moved around too much to have a hometown. I have, however, lived in the Dallas area and been involved with the Association since 1986.
After working as a restaurant manager for eight years, I became a "returning adult" student in college and received my B.S. degree in education from Texas Woman's University.
I've now been teaching for Irving ISD for eight years, teaching 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. I serve on the PTA board at Elliott Elementary and established their first bilingual PTA newsletter in 2002. I was also named Irving ISD's December 2003 Teacher of the Month and Junior Achievement's 2008 Teacher of the Year. |
